We re staying on the island Lido, which is right off of the main island of venice. Far less tourist, nice beaches and way more italian. It seems like this island is where the rich italians go to vacation and hang out for the summer, funny how all rich people flood to the beach.

Our schedule of the day is based on the world cup games and who is playing. We've found a great outdoor bar to watch the games at. The usa vs ghana game was heartbreaking to say the least.

We spent about 5 hours walking around St. Marks and the classic Venice. It was hot, there were wayyyy too many tourists and I felt completely overwhelmed. Venice is defiantly something to see, there is nothing like it. But after you see it, there's really nothing else. It is merely a vacation spot, but a pretty one.

Its weird being here I have realized that my backpacking days are over, I'm on vacation now. Its great to be on vacation with enza but the adrenaline of backpacking and constantly moving and meeting new people is over, and it makes me sad. Let's hope I can adjust back to the reality of real life in a couple of days.

Paris on tuesday, tampa on thursday... Damn, time is disappearing.
