Sunday in the Park

"When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be the happiest. The only thing that could spoil a day was people and if you could keep from making engagements, each day had no limits. People were always the limiters of happiness except for the very few that were as good as spring itself. " --from Hemingways book A Moveable Feast

That quote exactly describes my sunday. It was another amazing day but this time soooo warm it reached 70 degrees! wow! no clouds or anything. When I got to the park to see my friends I had to take off my boots, leggins, socks, sweater- it was so nice it was like summer was here! Five of us just laid outside, read, and ate. We all had to go to printmaking class at 3 but were doing anything possible not to go. At 2 we deiced that we should go get ice cream so we went 30mins out of our way to go get ice cream but really amazing ice cream by Notre Dame. I got fig and coconut with really good whip cream! We took our ice cream and sat by the Seine and ate it while we watched all the tour boats go by and soaked up the sun. We texted our teacher saying we would be there at 4 but 4 came and we were still sitting by the Seine with no intentions to leave. We finally got up because we were hungry. We then searched around for a good 20mins to find food. After we sat down and ate again- we decided that maybe we really should go to class. But man, did we bitch on the way there! We weren't ready to leave the most amazing day by the river! The sun everything it was just too nice. Well we finally made it to class at 5:30... just 2 and 1/2 hours late... oooppps. Our teacher had to leave a 6 but now being there we wanted to print... Thank god he's the nicest man ever and somehow trust us- he gave us the keys to his studio so we could print. It was really nice there were only 5 of us printing a perfect amount to be in the studio. I was really happy that I got to print it was probably the last time that I'll be able to print cuase this is the last week and during our normal time we have to hang out prints for the show. When I left the studio at 8:30 it was still light outside- incredible. Now I am completely drained from being out in the sun all day... somehow lying in the sun takes so much energy out of me. This was the most perfect day, spending it was great people and enjoying Paris. Now it's hard to imagine that I'm leaving this amazing place. I have to enjoy ever minuet of it in the next week.
